Privacy Policy

Effective: 18 September 2026 · Opinaro mobile app (iOS and Android)

In short

  • Opinaro works without an account. We do not know who you are.
  • Your settings (language, country, compared countries, history of your answers) stay on your phone.
  • When you answer a “Your say” question, only your answer, your country and, if you chose to give it, your age group are added to a counter on our server. No identifier, no address and no individual timestamp are stored: your answer is merged into a total and cannot be found again, by you or by us.
  • No advertising, no tracking, no usage analytics, no cookies.
  • If you subscribe to Opinaro Plus, the purchase is handled by the App Store or Google Play and verified on our behalf by RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier.

1. Controller

Opinaro is published by Stéphane Hirondelle, independent publisher (“we”). Contact: contact@nutriflow-app.net. Postal address available on request.

2. What we do not collect

3. Data stored on your device

The app stores locally: the language, the chosen country, the comparator’s country list, your consent to take part in “Your say” questions and the age group you may have chosen, the list of questions you have answered (so you cannot answer twice), the number of free discoveries used, your subscription status (yes/no) and a cache of charts already viewed (7 days). This information never leaves the device and disappears when the app is uninstalled. You can clear your answer history from the “Me” tab.

4. “Your say” questions

Taking part is optional, reserved for people aged 18 or over, and preceded by a consent screen. Questions are closed-choice (no free text) and never concern elections, parties, governments, political figures, religion, individual health or any other so-called “sensitive” data.

When you confirm an answer, the app sends our server: the question identifier, the number of the chosen answer, your two-letter country code and, if you gave it, your age group (18-24, 25-39, 40-59, 60+). The server adds 1 to the matching counter. It keeps no row per answer, no IP address, no identifier, no time.

As with any connection to a server, your IP address passes through at the moment of sending. It is used only, in memory and for a few seconds, to limit the number of requests per second (abuse protection); it is neither logged nor kept. The server is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd in Frankfurt (Germany, European Union).

Results are shown as percentages, only from 30 answers for a country and 50 answers for a country × age-group breakdown, so that no individual answer can be inferred.

Withdrawal: an answer already merged into a total cannot be removed, since nothing allows it to be found. You can stop taking part at any time.

5. Data sent to third parties

World Bank (api.worldbank.org) — to show the trend of a measured figure, the app requests the history of that indicator for the displayed country; the server sees your IP address, like any website. Policy: worldbank.org.

Apple / Google — installation and purchases go through your App Store or Google Play account, under their own policies.

RevenueCat — for Opinaro Plus, the purchase receipt is verified by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider, under a random identifier generated on the device (never your name or e-mail). Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Eurobarometer survey results are bundled inside the app: no connection to the European Commission takes place.

6. Legal basis and your rights

Processing of “Your say” answers relies on your consent (GDPR article 6.1.a), given on the dedicated screen and withdrawable by ceasing to take part. Aggregated counters identify nobody: we hold no data about you that could be accessed, corrected or deleted. For local data, use the “Me” tab or uninstall the app. For purchases, contact Apple or Google. You may write to us with any question and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL, cnil.fr).

7. Children

Browsing Opinaro is open to everyone; taking part in “Your say” questions is reserved for people aged 18 or over. No personal data is collected, whatever the age.

8. Changes

Any change will be published on this page with its effective date.
